Reports to:                 Client Services Manager 

Location:                    Baxter Hall

 

Work Schedule:  8-4:30, Monday through Friday. Additional hours as required. 

Exemption Status:      Exempt                                    Payroll Status: Salary

 The IT Help Desk Specialist provides first-level technical support to campus users.

 Primary duties and responsibilities:

 Answers and responds to help desk phone calls, emails, and drop-in requests, providing first-level computing support to faculty, staff, students and other members of the Wabash community. 

 Keeps thorough records of support and assistance provided.

 Works closely with other members of IT Services to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

 Maintains the IT Services knowledge base, an on-line repository of questions and answers to common technology issues.

 Additional duties and responsibilities:

 Assists with training programs for student workers.

  Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge: Excellent customer service skills; ability to clearly communicate technical information to users; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to learn new programs and technologies quickly; ability to work in a team-based environment; and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

 Minimum one year experience providing help desk and technical support in a networked environment. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent advanced work required; experience in higher education preferred. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows and a broad range of computer software, particularly Microsoft Office and Adobe products. Familiarity with Apple Macintosh OS X and Macintosh software.

Voice Instructor

WABASH COLLEGE invites applications for a part-time position for a Adjunct Instructor of Voice. Position will be work one half to one day per week of half-hour or one-hour lessons, twelve weeks per semester beginning late August 2009.  Educational requirements include a MM degree or equivalent.  Applied instruction experience, focus on vocal technique, ongoing professional performance experience, inclusion of beginners and non-majors, reportorial breadth and flexibility, ability to connect with students and build up studio. Compensation is per half-hour. Additional local students permitted. HEAD MEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING COACH AND AQUATICS DIRECTOR

WABASH COLLEGE (NCAA III and a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference) is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Swimming and Diving Coach and Aquatics Director. This is a full-time position. The individual hired will be responsible for all aspects of the swimming and diving program including recruitment & retention of student/athletes, budget management, organization of practices, scheduling, competition, travel, home meet management, equipment purchase, and aquatic management of the College natatorium, including recreational & fitness activities for the Wabash community. The Swimming and Diving Coach will also receive a secondary assignment at the College as determined by the Dean of Students. The successful candidate must be committed to the NCAA III philosophy and should possess public relations skills to deal with a variety of publics. Coaching success & WSI certification required.
