Tankers Take Two at IWU, vs. Rose
Wabash scored its first two dual meet victories of the season, sweeping a double-dual from Illinois Wesleyan and Rose-Hulman Saturday afternoon. The Little Giants defeated host IWU 96-42. Wabash handed Rose-Hulman a 99-41 loss.

Wabash began the 2009-2010 swimming and diving season with a fifth place finish Saturday at the North Coast Athletic Conference Relays. The Little Giants posted eight top-10 finishes overall.

Barnes Hired To Lead Wabash Swim Program
Steve Barnes, former assistant at Kalamazoo College, has been hired as the new head swimming coach at Wabash. Barnes comes to Wabash after two seasons as the assistant coach of the Kalamazoo College men’s and women’s swimming program.

Little Giant swimmers hit the pool for the final time this season Sunday afternoon, competing at the BoilerMakeIt Last Chance Meet in an effort to trim some time off NCAA Division III Championship qualifying times. The results produced four new school records.

Wabash closed the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championship meet Saturday evening with another school record and final All-Conference effort while finish fourth overall in the team scoring.

All-NCAC Relay Leads Wabash First-Day Swim Effort
The 400-yard medley relay team of Eric Vaughn, Evan Rhinesmith, Adam Current, and Craig Vetor took third place Thursday night in the finals of the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships to help Wabash to fifth place after the first day of the three-day competition.

Records Fall at NCAC Championship Swim Meet
Junior Craig Vetor and senior Jordon Blackwell turned in record-setting performances at the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championship Meet in Canton, Ohio. Vetor broke the Wabash record in the 200 freestyle in Friday's preliminary round, while Blackwell set a new mark in the 100 free during a Thursday night time trial.

Evan Rhinesmith joined teammates Craig Vetor and Jordon Blackwell as new Wabash swimming record holders. Rhinesmith set a new school record in the 100 breaststroke in a time trial as part of the second day of the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championship meet.

Medley Relay Team Leads Little Giants Into First-Day Finals
The Wabash 400-yard medley relay team of Eric Vaughn, Evan Rhinesmith, Adam Current, and Jordon Blackwell took third in the morning session of the opening day at the 2009 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. The Little Giants earned 12 places in Wednesday night's finals.
