Brian Anderson enters his sixth season as the head wrestling coach at Wabash College. He spent two years as an assistant at Manchester College, where he helped the program produce seven national qualifiers and three All-American wrestlers. The Spartans produced a 15th place finish at the NCAA Division III National Championship meet in 2003 and an 18th place finish last season with Anderson's assistance.

Anderson guided the 2004-05 Wabash wrestling team to its first NCAA Regional title since 1983, earning Midwest Regional Coach of the Year honors. He sent two wrestlers to the 2005 NCAA Championships, including eventual second-place All-American 174-pounder Chris Healy. Garrett Pino advanced to the Nationals after winning the Midwest Regional at 141 pounds in 2006. Keith Garrard was the latest All-American wrestler tutored by Anderson. Garrard finished fifth at 197 pounds at the 2007 NCAA Championships. He secured the 2008 NCAA Division III Midwest Wrestling Regional at Wabash, as well.

Anderson wrestled for four seasons at Manchester, graduating in 1999 before heading to Michigan City High School as the head wrestling coach for three years. While wrestling at Manchester, Anderson helped the squad to two sixth-place finishes at nationals while picking up more than 100 victories in his career. He was two-time Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference champion and earned a Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title at 184 pounds. In 1999 he was an Academic All-American and earned the Manchester College Senior Leadership Academic Award. He also received the 1999 Jim Gratz Leadership Award.

He and his wife, Lauren, reside in Crawfordsville with their daughters, Brynn, Kelsey, and Annabel.

Danny Irwin

Danny Irwin returns to the Wabash wrestling program for his second season. A 2008 graduate of Manchester College, Irwin posted a 99-43 record on the mats for the Spartans. His 99 victories is 11th-best in Manchester history. He earned the Jim Gratz Leadership Award in 2005 and 2006, the Student Leadership Award in 2005, posted the most total team points and takedowns in 2005, and was the Manchester Most Improved Wrestler in 2004. Irwin qualified for the NCAA Division III National tournament in 2004 and 2005 .

Irwin brings immediate coaching experience to the Little Giants, having served as the head wrestling coach at Bluffton High School and Middle School for two years. Bluffton was at the bottom of its conference when Irwin took over, leading the Tigers to a conference title and their first IHSAA Team Wrestling Regional berth in his second season. Irwin also restarted the Wells County Wrestling Club in Bluffton in the fall of 2006, serving two years as its director. He also spent seven years working as a coach with the Norwell AAU Wrestling Club.

A captain of the Manchester wrestling team, Irwin's leadership skills were also developed while working at various camps and helping out with youth programs throughout his life. 

Irwin resides in Crawfordsville.

Eracleo Vallejo
Assistant Wrestling Coach

Vallejo joins the Wabash program after a successful collegiate wrestling career. A 2008 Manchester College graduate, Vallejo earned degrees in marketing and nonprofit management. He competed at 125 pounds for the Spartans, qualifying for the Nationals three times in his career. He earned All-America honors as a junior with a fifth-place finish. He still holds the Manchester wrestling records for season takedowns, season technical falls, career takedowns, and career technical falls.

Vallejo works for Pro Trans International and resides in Indianapolis.
